ACPS Profile of a Learner: Attributes and Characteristics

The ACPS Profile of a Learner is a guiding framework that identifies the essential skills, attributes, and character traits students need to thrive in school, career, and life beyond graduation. Developed collaboratively with input from students, families, staff, and community partners, it emphasizes qualities such as advocacy, effective communication, empathy, and self-motivation. By centering education on these whole learner outcomes, ACPS ensures learning experiences are both personalized and equitable, preparing all students to be engaged citizens and adaptable problem-solvers in a rapidly changing world. The Profile is significant because it shapes curriculum, instruction, and school culture, helping students develop not only academic strengths but also the social and emotional competencies necessary for long-term success.
