A student’s dress and appearance shall not be such that it causes disruption, distracts others from the educational process, or creates a health or safety problem. Students are expected to comply with specific building dress codes or voluntary/mandatory uniform policies (such as those at individual elementary or K–8 schools), as well as not wearing ski masks, balaclavas, or other facial coverings that fully or partially conceal their identity while indoors on school grounds. This rule does not apply to approved religious, cultural, or medical coverings.
